About Practice-A-Thon Tracking Minutes Help/Tutorial

WHAT IS IT?

Continuing a long standing tradition from St. Joseph’s School of Music, the Laurel Practice-A-Thon is a community fundraiser where students track their practice time and collect pledges to raise money for each minute they practice. This event helps us focus attention on our growth as musicians and celebrate our community amidst a busy spring season!

A Brief Welcome from
Laurel Piano Faculty + Practice-A-Thon Veteran, Matthew Wilson

The 2026 Laurel Practice-A-Thon runs Monday April 13th through Friday, May 1st!

However, pledges, one-time donations, AND practice time updates will be accepted through 11:59pm on Monday, May 4th.

Prizes will be awarded to the individual student + the team that raises the most money, as well as to the individual student + the team that practices the most minutes! Winners will be announced at the Laurel in Bloom celebration on Saturday, May 16!

Text that says: AWESOME! how do I participate?
  1. Practice your instrument(s)!

  2. Record your minutes on our official Practice-A-Thon website.

  3. Invite friends and family to support you + The Laurel Fund, by donating either on a per-minute-practiced pledge or a lump sum.

Do I need to raise money to be involved?

Nope! While we do encourage all students to set a minimum fundraising goal of $25, this is a celebration of the hard work and practice of our Laurel community, and it is open to all who want to participate!

What is this fundraiser for?

The Practice-A-Thon raises money for The Laurel Fund, our annual fund. The Laurel Fund helps us keep our tuition affordable, provides vital support to our school music programs, & allows us to provide community outreach through our community concert series, on-site performances at MSS, and more.
