At Laurel, private lessons are designed to meet the needs of each student, taking into account their background and musical goals. Lessons are taught by established and recognized artist-teachers, and our team ensures a great fit between each student and their teacher(s).
A Comprehensive Approach
At Laurel we introduce students to everything from the theoretical and historical aspects of music, to the joys of performing. Studying in a conservatory environment enables students to participate in recitals, repertoire classes, and ensemble experiences. Students benefit from the experience of belonging to a music-making community, and an approach to learning that emphasizes cooperation over competition.

Our faculty of accomplished artist-teachers bring a diverse range of skills, specialities, and backgrounds to meet students where they are. We offer flexible installment payment options. Laurel is committed to offering high quality music education to as many interested students as possible. If you need help affording lessons, apply for financial aid after completing your registration.

Laurel charges a nonrefundable registration fee once per year, due with your first tuition payment of the year.

Flex passes are available to students ages 16 and up with both teacher and admin approval. Flex pass tuition is nonrefundable, and is valid for 12 months from date of purchase. Contact your teacher, or note your interest in Flex Pass on your registration form.

School year tuition is divided into 10 installments. Payments are due on the first day of the school year, and on the 15th of each month September-May. Note that the first two installments of the school year are both due in September.
Summer term tuition is divided into 2 installments. Payments are due on June 15 and July 15.

Our standard school year package comprises 34 lessons from September through early June, and our standard summer term package comprises 7 lessons from June through August. Registration is for the full year or term. New students can register at any time!
Need more flexibility? Students ages 16+ may be eligible for a Flex Pass. Please note your interest on your registration form.
Already a private lesson student at Laurel? There is no need to re-register from year to year or term to term; your lesson registration is ongoing until we receive your notice of withdrawal.
