From rising first graders embarking on the first steps of their musical journey, to advanced college and pre-college students refining their craft, campers at Laurel experience community, artistry, and the joy of music.
2026 Laurel Summer Programs
Summer Music Camp
Monday-Friday, July 13-24, 2026
9:00 AM-4:00 PM, $715
Extended care available until 5:00 PM
Rising 1st through 7th graders
No prior experience required
Tuition includes a nonrefundable $175 deposit due upon registration. Tuition balance may be paid in full upon registration, or in monthly installments March-June.
At Laurel Summer Music Camp, students explore their musical knowledge and ability through classes, creative play, and presentations by renowned professionals. No prior musical experience required!
Taught by world-class musicians, campers enjoy disciplined training and performance opportunities in a low-pressure culture. Students at all levels will experience individual growth and personal enrichment through the joy of music.
Students participate in core classes including choir and musicianship, and choose from electives for smaller classes offering more individualized attention. Options include include songwriting, beginning and intermediate ukulele, handbells and more!
Students will enjoy a daily outing to a nearby park for lunch and outdoor time. Summer Music Camp culminates in an end-of-camp concert.
Piano Camp
Monday-Friday, August 3-7, 2026
9:00 AM-4:00 PM, $395
Extended care available until 5:00 PM
Rising 2nd through 8th graders
At least one year of piano study
Tuition includes a nonrefundable $95 deposit due upon registration. Tuition balance may be paid in full upon registration, or in monthly installments March-June.
NEW for 2026! Piano students, join us for Piano Camp to develop your musical knowledge and skills.
Students will work on keyboard skills, collaborate in piano duets and ensembles, and explore the possibilities of the piano through improvisation. The schedule also includes interactive classes about the history of the piano and important pianists and composers, and special guest artist presentations.
Students will enjoy a daily outing to a nearby park for lunch and outdoor time. Piano Camp culminates in an end-of-camp concert.

Brass Camp
Monday-Friday, August 10-14, 2026
9:00 AM-4:00 PM, $395
Extended care available until 5:00 PM
Rising 3rd graders through 2026 high school grads
At least one year of study on their instrument
Tuition includes a nonrefundable $95 deposit due upon registration. Tuition balance may be paid in full upon registration, or in monthly installments March-June.
Brass Camp is for trumpet, French horn, trombone, euphonium, and tuba players. Come spend a week learning with the Laurel Faculty Brass Quintet in a full-day camp experience!
The schedule includes an all-camp brass ensemble, instrument-specific classes, small ensembles, and private lessons. Students will develop skills important to brass playing such as breathing, mouthpiece buzzing, articulation, and other tone-based skills. This year's schedule also includes a musicianship class to help solidify music reading and ear training skills.
Students will enjoy a daily outing to a nearby park for lunch and outdoor time. The camp will culminate in an end-of-camp concert shared with the Laurel Faculty Brass Quintet.

Band Camp
Monday-Thursday August 31-September 3, 2026
9:00 AM-4:00 PM, $345
Extended care available until 5:00 PM
Rising 4th through 7th graders
At least one year of study on their instrument
Tuition includes a nonrefundable $85 deposit due upon registration. Tuition balance may be paid in full upon registration, or in monthly installments March-June.
Band Camp is for rising 4th through 7th graders who are at the beginner or intermediate level on a band instrument. Students should have at least one school year of playing experience on their instrument.
Students will spend our time working as a large group, and splitting into woodwind and brass sections to work more closely on tricky parts of the music. The schedule is rounded out with rhythm games, musicianship classes, and more to develop musical and collaboration skills.
Students will enjoy a daily outing to a nearby park for lunch and outdoor time. Band Camp culminates in an end-of-camp concert.

The Saint Paul Chamber Music Institute (SPCMI) is a unique, residential chamber music program June 27-July 4 for pre-college and college players led by members of the Jasper Quartet.

Pre-register for extended care on your camp registration form. If you need to add a single day, up to and including day-of, we will charge your payment method on file.
Late for pickup? Please notify us, but know your child will be well cared for with our other extended care registrants.

The Registration Department will process your camp registration(s) and issue invoices through our Pike13 registration software. If you are a new student, you will receive a welcome email to claim your profile in the system.
Your nonrefundable camp deposit is due upon registration. Your tuition balance may be paid in full upon registration, or in monthly installments on the 15th of the month each month March-June. If paying your full camp tuition, we can process payment by check, card, or ACH. If paying in monthly installments, a payment method (card or ACH) must be stored on file, and monthly payments will be processed automatically on the due date.
