Scott Keever

Scott is an award-winning composer, musician, instructor, and collaborator spanning two decades’ professional experience in performance, music instruction and composition. He has composed and produced music for film, theatre, podcasts, and radio. As a solo performer, As a performer, Scott has focused on fingerstyle guitar, which he has performed throughout the Midwest and has worked extensively in local theatrical and dance productions for Walking Shadow Theater, Ethnic Dance Theater, O'Shea Dance Company, to name a few. He also performs with Orkestar Bez Ime (OBI), an award-winning Twin Cities group that specializes in folk music from the Balkan and Eastern European regions. Scott graduated with a B.A. in Music from the University of Minnesota – School of Music, where he focused on Composition and Guitar. He studied Composition under the guidance of Alex Lubet and Doug Geers.
Scott has been teaching music professionally for over a decade and takes great care in creating a lesson plan based on the individual students' needs. In teaching multiple instruments, he can also teach multiple approaches to accommodate the student and what best works for them. He specializes in teaching neurodivergent students (child and adult) and enjoys finding new ways to access a students' potential.
